The questions we get asked most about how billing works.
How do credits work?
One credit equals one keyword analysed in a full SERP analysis. AI Mentions lookups cost 40 credits each. /research discovery runs (keyword suggestions, domain niche, competitor ranks) cost 1 credit per result returned.
What's the difference between subscription credits and pack credits?
Subscription credits arrive monthly with your plan and expire when the next renewal hits — they're a use-it-or-lose-it monthly allowance. Pack credits come from one-time purchases and roll over forever. Subscription credits are spent first, packs second.
Can I change plans mid-subscription?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from your profile. Stripe prorates the difference automatically. Upgrades take effect immediately with the new credit allowance; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Do you offer refunds?
Subscription invoices are refundable at our discretion — contact support if something went wrong. Once credits have been consumed (used in an analysis) we can't refund them, since the underlying API costs have already been spent.
Is there a free trial?
There's no time-limited trial, but every new account ships with a pre-loaded demo analysis containing real data — you can explore every feature (sorting, filtering, opportunity scores, weakness icons, CSV export) before spending a single credit. Sign up, poke around, then subscribe when you're ready.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link, processed through Stripe. We don't store card details ourselves — Stripe handles all of that.
Are there per-seat or per-user costs?
No. Pricing is purely credit-based. One account, one bill, no headcount math.
What happens if my card payment fails?
Stripe automatically retries on its standard schedule (over a few weeks). You'll get an email asking you to update your card; in your billing portal you can fix the card and we'll re-attempt straight away. Your access continues until Stripe has exhausted retries.
